View from the top

As I start my new life here at Phenomenon Post, a production company located on Mount Washington in Pittsburgh, Pa, I have come to realize what my life will consist of: Sitting in traffic, answering phones and drinking coffee. Good coffee. Not that cheap stuff that most places order in bulk. I am drinking high class, breakfast blend, Starbucks coffee. The employees here don't play around. They grind the beans first thing in the morning to have the freshest taste possible. Top coffee for top  people on the top of Mt. Washington.

Speaking of Mt. Washington, yesterday was my first experience on top of this great Mountain. Anyone who knows Pittsburgh will recognize the two inclines that sit on the side of the mountain. Our office is directly to the right of the Ft. Duquense incline. I spent my morning using binoculars watching the turkeys play feet away from the incline ramp secretly hoping that one out dare to venture out onto that ramp and I could have a turkey sammich for lunch. Sadly, that did not happen.

Now onto traffic. Some people hate traffic. I don't mind it unless I am in a hurry to get someplace.  I enjoy trying to figure out which lane is going to move faster and generally it is the opposite lane that I am in. So  I move to the other lane and it proceeds to slow down. Disgruntled, I navigate back into the other lane and sit. I like to peer into the other vehicles to see what the people are doing. Most are eating or texting. If one is lucky enough to catch a driver who thinks that the tint in their car is opec picking their nose. Those are the best.  Occasionally, there is a creeper who insists on waving or staring at you as you make your way to where ever you may be going.
